The vehicle we will be using is a 2007 Nissan Navara 2.5 diesel King Cab 4 x 4 pick up. Even though the vehicle was brand new it had to have extensive work done to it to enable it to travel the rough roads of Africa.

Replaced Front And Rear Suspension
Suspension was replaced with Australian Heavy Duty 'Old Man Emu' springs and shock absorbers.
Second Fuel Tank
A 60 litre diesel tank fitted to enable us to carry 140 litres of fuel
Snorkel
Fitted high air intake, away from dust and water
K & N Air Filter
Changed Nissan air filter to a washable one
Steel Wheels and All Terrain Tyres
Alloy wheels removed and steel wheels fitted as alloys are no good for the rough roads
Underbody Skid Plates
Plates covering and protecting engne, transmission and steering parts
Side Protection Bars
Replaced Nissan side bars with much stronger ones
Bull Bar and Sport Lamps
Protection to the front of vehicle and powerful spot lamps are needed for any night driving
Wheel Arch and Side Protection
Side mouldings and front and rear wheel arch protection fitted
Headlight and Bonnet Protection
Fitted to stop stone damage
Windows Tinted
For security and breakage to windows plus to block out the strong rays of the sun
Vehicle Safe
Safe specially made to fit under passenger seat
Vehicle Storage
Rear seats and belts removed and storage system fitted
Air Suspension
Air suspension fitted to the rear to help with the weight being carried on the back of the pick up.
