Pasteri de Belem. That's the name of them. Tasty little things.

After a late night with some new friends we decided to walk all the way to Belem. Which is around two hours (walking) west of Lisbon centre. It was a lovely day (weather has been awesome constantly so far - sucks to be in the UK I bet!) and we enjoyed the walk. In Belem we visited a beautiful old monastery, the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, and ate these custard tart things that I cannot remember the name of. Also visited the oldest bookshop in the world. Nice of them to have an English section at the back. (There are other books for sale outside).

The hostel we are staying at recommended us a good waking tour to do so after what can only be described as the best breakfast we have had at a hostel we did this tour. It was bloody brilliant and our 'guide' was a really great guy, we walked up and down the hills of the city and learnt about it's history and culture. After a night on the train from Madrid with little sleep we arrived in the beautiful capital of Portugal. Arriving early in the morning it was quite cool walking to our hostel as the city seemed deserted apart from the odd person. We dropped our backpacks and found a classic Portuguese coffee shop to chill in for a while.
