Taking an overnight train to Lisbon tonight, here's hoping we get a good nights sleep! Portugal will be our 13th country we've visited on this trip I think (not including Vatican City and Monaco).

We also went to the city's main park and I fell asleep under a tree. It was a great afternoon. We saw the marathon runners too (as it was the Madrid marathon) and we saw the cathedral.

We have been enjoying Madrid more and more. It's been better than we thought it would be for sure. Found a few great Spanish vegi places to eat pretty cheaply too. We also did a walking tour around which was cool, we saw the palace and a few other things. Got to see some really nice parts of the City.

After a wonderful night out with some of the hostel staff and some other awesome people, the next morning (25th) we said our goodbyes to Alicante and headed to Madrid, I was not feeling too well and so we didn't do much once we arrived at our hostel here, but after waking from the station I can say that Madrid seems better than I was expecting already, the architecture of the buildings is beautiful and the city is literally buzzing.

We spent half of the day asleep and the other half of the day at the beach on the 24th. I love travelling. I don't know whether I have said that before on this blog but maybe it's a given? Just getting up every day and seeing a new place, doing whatever you want to do and going wherever you want to go. Ok we are limited by money and our form of travel (e.g. Train times etc.) But essentially It's up to you. The wanderer. We are having the time of our lives and I d...
