Abbie - Today we spent quite a while on the jumping pillow. Then we went to the Darwin Museum. We went through and looked at some great, stuffed animals. After we saw Sweetheart, the 5 metre stuffed crocodile. She is really long and and was a real crocodile. Then we looked at the part of the museum that's about Cyclone Tracey. It was scary listening to the sounds of the cyclone and I actually felt quite sad about the people that lost their lives and homes. We then went to look at some more stuffed animals. After we went and had lunch at a restaurant in the museum. We came back and went in the pool at the caravan park. We got out, had a shower, had dinner and went to bed.
Olivia - We first got up quite tired because of sleeping right next to the highway. We enjoyed a fun game of octopus on the jumping pillow. We went to a museum and saw a saltwater crocodile that was 5m long. It's name was Sweetheart. I was amazed when I saw my first sight of it. We listened to the sound of a cyclone. It was called Cyclone Tracey that happened in 1974. It was Christmas Eve when it happened. It woudn't have been a very good Christmas when it happened. We went back and Dad and I jumped into the pool at the same time! Abbie was last. We had dinner and went to bed.

Granny x Cyclone Tracey was a terrible event. It spoilt Christmas for so many Australians. Even those of us who lived a long way away felt very sad. Many children were traumatised.
Kristen Hi Abbie and Olivia, your trip sounds awesome! My Dad lived in Darwin for many years, I really enjoyed visiting him there. The night market is fun. Make sure you get Mum and Dad to take you for fish and chips on the beach xx Can you please let Mum know that I'm really missing her and can't wait to catch up for a coffee when you get back xx

Abbie Hi guys, the crocodile was called sweetheart after the river she grew up in called sweetcreek river! The crocodile was stuffed and yes that means it was real but not alive! I have seen lots of crocodiles in the wild and they do get a bit scary actually!
