We took it easy today sleeping in and then actually buying our lunch! We went to the park and ate our pasties (potato, onion, and cheese in a pastry). It was really cool because at the park you could see everyone, mothers and their chidden, teens just hanging out, and so many business men ad women just taking a break in the nice green space. It was a huge park. After walking around we decided to walk to the Guinness storehouse for a tour. Since we had splurged today and bought lunch we decided we would walk... It was a really long walk ha.
We arrived there and did the tour. It was much more commercialized then I was expecting. It was more of a museum then a brewery tour (like I have done in ns with keiths). It was fascinating though we learned about how beer is made, why Guinness tastes better in Dublin then everywhere else in the world, and all about the history and advertisements Guinness has. Finally we were trained on how do a perfect pour of our Guinness and enjoyed our pint while looking out onto Dublin.
We also went to the beadie library in the morning. It was a lot of religious artifacts and history but it was really interesting, the only problem was since the lights were so low (as to protect the artifacts) it was really hard on my eyes doing all the reading.
Finally after taking the long walk home from the Guinness factory we got dinner. We stumbled upon a Mongolian grill and it was amazing because we have all been missing our vegetables being on the road and eating so much pub grub and pasta. After a satisfying meal we headed home and went to bed early as we had to be picked up to go to the airport at 430 this morning.
