Our last night on Bottle Beach was nice and chilled. It seemed that the party people had moved on after the full moon party, and the atmosphere had changed. There were still a few families, but we figure that's because it's the Christmas holidays. We got to know the waiters pretty well during our stay and they looked after us well! Paul had taken part in one of the fire shows, so they kept trying to teach him the moves. He ended up with a few burns as souvenirs!!...

We've been on beautiful bottle beach for a week now and we've been far too busy doing nothing to write any blogs! When we first got here, the weather was pretty mixed! It's been a busy few days! The night train wasn't quite what we were expecting! You kind of assume that a train line won't have bumps in, but not in Thailand! Lots and lots of bumps! They also left the lights on, and even behind your curtain, it was still bright for sleeping! So not much sleep was had! We finally arrived in Bangkok, 2 hours late! After we checked in, we chilled out in the garden, overlooking the river, with a few drinks. It was so relaxing! We didn't bother to do anything, just had dinner, and walked 100 yards to the floating bar, for a few more drinks. We played cards and the bar shut at 10.30pm, so we went to bed! We had a great nights sleep! Nice and comfy, and no noise! It's much warmer at night now, but we're still managing with a fan room, and it seems to be fine. We had breakfast...

Another day, another country, another ridiculously bumpy bus journey!! We went out for dinner last night and we were both feeling a little weary, so we sat in a bar watching friends until about 10.30pm. As the bar closed, we carried on on the balcony and played games before bed. Today was a day of travel. We got on the bus for Vientiane at around 10am, and made it to Nong Khai at 4pm.
