Day 4
Awoke to a nice day and ate breakfast outside in the warm morning air. We were picked up at 8:45 for our transfer to the jetty for the Hong Island day trip. There was a wedding couple all dressed up ready for the ceremony having photos done on the jetty which was a series of plastic watertight vessels all connected together. The jetty did a kind of mexican wave as our group filed past the soon to be newlyweds and hopefully didn't spoil the photos! The boat was quite large and had lifejackets and snorkling gear but seemed to only have 2 speeds, off and 'oh s*** that's fast' The driver selected the latter and had us at Hong Lagoon in about 10 mins along with another 20 or so boats! You could've jumped easily from boat to boat there were so many in the lagoon. The option of swimming in the lagoon was wisely abandoned by the crew and we blasted off for Hong Island Beach as did everyone else. We swam and snorkled here and saw quite a few colourful fish but the seabed was loved to death!
Lunch was served on tables in the shade of the trees and we then visited 2 other islands, which were similarly loved, before returning to Ao nang beach. The girls running the trip were lovely and looked after us very well and helped us on and off the boat and ensured we had a nice day! Had dinner outside and watched the sun set.

Kerry Love the photos Paul. Lovely part of the world.
Chris & Sue Such a shame about the reef. Hopefully there will be some there somewhere! Make sure you do Ya's cooking class!
