Awoke to a reasonable day in Box Hill and we had preordered our breakfast which was delivered to our room at 7:45. Bussed to the station then by train to Southern Cross and on to Tullamarine. Arrived in Melbourne in a heavy downpour which almost felt like the tropics! It took us about 10 mins to get to the gate. Caught the bus into the city and a well needed coffee. Arranged to meet Claire at the Grand Prix where she was working so caught a tram 96a down to Middle Park. There was a Chinese couple sitting opposite who hadn't realised that this was an express tram and anxiously started pressing the 'next stop' button as we sailed passed Crown Casino!...
