Day 108. Early morning bike ride around the streets of old Chiltern and Lake Anderson admiring the old heritage buildings in the morning sun. After scrambled eggs for breakfast we were back on the M31 freeway and soon past Wodonga and Albury, entering New South Wales for the first time in over three months, stopping at Tarcutta for lunch in the park. The countryside is so green and pretty with rolling hills and blossom, our hayfever is playing up! Finally, we turned onto the Snowy Mountains Highway through the tiny village of Adelong and onto the small timber milling town of Tumut where we will stay a couple of nights as Paul's brother Bruce and Virginia live here. The Riverside CP is grassy and green and we have a lovely site right on a bend of the fast flowing Tumut River. After setting up we went up to the main street to visit Bruce and Virginia at their homewares shop called 'Inside Out'. Dinner tonight with family - Bruce and Virginia cooked a delicious feast of quinoa and spinach salad with seared sirloin steak and of course a local pinot gris from Tumbarumba. My niece Gemma and Dean were also there - a new family member will be born in just two weeks! Drove 230km, fine sunny day 20 degrees, with a cold overnight 2 degrees!
