So what a nightmare trying to get a bus to THIS place! You'd think that going to the bus station and asking for a boleto (ticket. omg i know LOADS!) to whichever place you want would do the job right? Not in this case. No she said. Then proceeded to play charades with me (not very well i hasten to add) chatting away and pointing to a place on my street map where I needed to go instead. I thanked her, got outside then wandered to where she's said. It's a fire station. Great. So I asked a man in a kiosk (i wonder what the palabra (word) for kiosk is), who called his wife, who spoke better English than he (I needed to write that bit correctly didn't I). I thought he would pass me his phone but 5 minutos later there she was! She actually TOOK me to the fire station again, but round the corner and down an alley to a tiny booking office. He said no too and chatted away to the woman who then took me to another place. It was closed. Tough luck. No answers. I went back to Pete who put a status on Facebook saying, "does anyone know the number for the bus to Chili Chico". 10 mins later someone replied, he called them then told me a minibus would collect me from the hostel at 2pm! What a pavlova!!

Then we chatted about my broken camera and so he drove me into town, to a "PC World" equivalent, and I got another memory card. He said maybe there was a scratch or something on it? Who knows! Anyway yey my camera works again! Just in time for the beautiful ferry crossing across Lago Gral Carrera (General Carrera Lake) to finish getting to Chile Chico. Say it out loud. It's fun! The same as Chacabuco!

OMG my laptop is fully charged for the 1st time in 3 weeks, and these pics uploaded in 3 mins instead of the usual half hour! It's great here!

ps I felt particularly feminine today. The 1st in a long time. The reason for this is I found a HAIRDRYER at Pete's! What a luxury. So that's why there maybe slightly more pics of me...look how great I look!!
