The Waiting Game

I stayed in my room watching netflix until my growling stomach forced me out. I found a Mexican restaurant - I'm DESPERATE for flavour - and read my book. A Canadian couple came in and I started chatting to them. From Ottawa Susan - don't ask me where abouts. They'd just got engaged and told me all about it. I cried. What IS the matter with me??

I then walked back, stepping over and swerving round all the stray dogs and avoiding eye contact with all the beggars in the street. It's heart breaking really. There are women with their child(ren) attached to their breast and hands outstretched to the public. It looks like their home is there, in amongst all the chewing gum and dog piss with the children cuddled up together fast asleep. I saw this same family last night too. The two young children asleep in the same position at 5pm both evenings. I wondered if they'd been drugged.

Got back and watched more netflix until bed.
