At last some cool air! We went up to the Cameron Highlands, which is a nice respite from the heat of KL. The Cameron Highlands is famous for its tea plantation so first stop was tea and scones! The next day went to the tea plantation, butterfly park and then in the afternoon did a four hour trek through the jungle to see the Rafflesia, the biggest flower in the world! Happy Malaysian National Day! Today is Malaysia's Independence Day, last night there were big celebrations and fireworks at the Petronas Towers at midnight. These guys know how to party! Yesterday we went up the Menera Tower which is 421 metres high and gives a great view of Kuala Lumpur. We had great timing as we were able to watch the sunset from such a great height. We have also been to the Kuala Lumpur bird park, the biggest in the world!

Melaka is a lovely costal town in the south of Malaysia and is our first stop in our "adventurer tour" through Asia.
