Bangkok is a big change from the Islands! We did a tuk tuk tour which was taking our lives in our hands, the drivers don't worry too much about lanes or traffic lights. It is a fun way to see the city though. We have visited all the big buddas and shrines and also went to the Grand Palace. We also haggled at the famous Koh San Road Market and had a drink in Gullivers the big backpackers bar.

After a bit of an adventure we arrived on Koh Tao, the smallest of the three islands on the East coast of Thailand. We had booked to join a 4 day dive course on the island. During the course Pauline decided that diving was not for her as she was more of a dry land kind of girl. After a couple of days in the classroom and pool we set sail to do some real diving. We have spent 4 wonderful days in what could be described as paradise! We stayed in a beach bungalow and lazed on the beautiful white sands. We went snorkelling at coral reefs just off the island, so many different fish but no sharks! Maureen went elephant trekking, I didn't do anything nearly as adventurous!! Tried some of the local specialities, food and drink - buckets!
