Nazi gold and la taperia "wait"er ....

We woke up on monday and watched dodgy german tv until 12 till we had to check out. Seems that the same dodgy commercials are on their telly too. The odd german equivilent of oceon finance adverts came on, we joked about there being a german equivilent of dale winton trying to get people to sell their 'nazi' gold for cash.

We checked out and went to the bus station with our bags , they had lockers for €2 that we could fit both our bags in. The security card helped us do this using hand gestures as he spoke no english. We then decided to walk around madrid our bus to barcelona wasnt until 11pm and it was only 12:30 now. We walked up the road and found a cafe. We ordered a jamon and bierco sandwich we didnt now what bierco was turned out it was some pink spread still had no clue what it was today! We ate it anyway as we were hungry. We then wandered the whole of madrid on foot. We found a gigantic flag in the middle of colon square it was the biggest fllag id ever seen.

We chilled out at la taperia , which was set out in a sunny plaza, it seemed like we had to wait for the waiter to grow some legs and also wait for the beer to brew before he even came over. We where there at least 2 hours and we had managed to get his attention 3 times the last time copey had to nudge him on the shoulder. Maybe he was too interested in robert downey junior who was sat on the other table. Who knows but this guy was shocking for a "wait"er he surely did live up to his title.

We wandered to burger king for tea and stayed there killing time playing uno again. The bus was late again and we eventually boarded it and wandered to the back seats that we thought we had booked. Turns out we haddent and was sat in someones seats. We then moved to our seats and tried to catch some sleep. No chance on these buses. There was a load off spanish just talking and at 3 am in the morning shouting down their mobiles. At that point we knew no more night buses unless absolutly neccessary!
