Only a two hour bus journey to KL from Melaka. We knew we were there when we saw our first glimpse of the towers in the distance - very impressive, the driver telling us to get off the bus was also a giveaway.
Hot and humid - seems to be a theme.
We eventually found a great guesthouse "Number8" Chilled out place with water, tea, coffee and fruit available on demand - taken for granted at home but a real luxury here.
First impressions are of a dirtier, more chaotic Singapore but lively and loads to see and do.
A real mix of food - there are as many "restaurants" as Malls - lots! We have now officially had the best curry we have EVER tasted - nothing to do with the 4 hour "exploring" (AKA getting lost again).
Wandered to the base of the towers during the day and stayed until dark. Very very impressive. Awesome. Worth visiting KL just to see these. We had an early start (6:30) to get free tickets for the Petronas Skybridge, then waited in line for 3.5 hours for a 10 minute view from from floor 41.
By the way, we are starting to show signs of wear, the mozzies are enjoying dining on us and the food is playing havock with our stomachs.
It's a hard life but we are coping. Tomorrow we leave KL for the worlds oldest forest - 130 million years old if you wanted to know.
