We had booked to go on a waterfall trip to the southern end of the island as well as some more snorkelling. The chap that was to take us had a family bereavement (so he said) and was very apologetic. He almost got down on his knees and asked us to look into his eyes to prove he was sincere! The replacement driver didn't speak very good English but he got us to the waterfall which had a nice pool below into which we swam. Back on the boat and the driver had a look about him like he'd been smoking something weird while he'd been waiting for us! He managed to get us to the first snorkelling spot which had a very strong current, a bit like one of those pools where you swim but don't go anywhere. The second spot was better but there wasn't many fish but some nasty looking jellyfish and sea-lice! We had lunch at a small village nearby then to the last spot which was sensational. Millions of fish, even a black tipped reef shark! Lovely coral too. Had our last dinner on Tioman at the little restaurant just outside the resort.
