Hello again
it has stopped raining now. We drove to Huka falls, craters of the moon (hot springs and mud) then to arratiatia falls, which are released from a lake every
2hrs for 1/2 hr, an amazing sight, as it produced massive falls with a lot of noise. Then we went to Rotorua and stayed for 3 nights. Next am, we went on a very interesting tour , didnt get picked up on time and nearly froze to death (12C). The tour comprised tour around the maori village, hangi (lunch cooked in mineral springs) buried village, cultural show including a haka and general sightseeinfg of 3 lakes and other geysers. Weather now improving again.
The next am, we went to the Agrodome for sheep show, sheep shearing. We saw lots of different breeds of sheep and they were so cute! In the museum, we saw wool carding on a machine that Pam recognised from her grandfather's old mill in Huddersfield, built and exported here in 1902. We were shocked to see it was from Frank Platt's mill!
Enough of culture, beautifying was much needed! So we set off to the local hospital for a face lift and tummy tuck but had to be satisfied with a mud wrap, facial and massage! It was great and we wanted to stay there all day!
That night , we went to another cultural maori show in one of the hotels with massive buffet dinner, which was excellent.
