Wake up! It's a beautiful morning! After a slow start, breakfast was savoured. Crispy bacon, how I love you. Then off we set. The humidity was overbearing the minute we stepped outside! The Metro has this whizzy card system which is fun to use. I guess it's much like Oyster but it's not related to going to work. So our grand walking tour took us to: Starbucks, the White House, Washington, Lincoln, MLK, FDR & Jefferson memorials. Followed by a fab evening with our friends in Alexandria...with proper tea!
