We've been busy again!!! We are now in Rotorua.

Firstly we had our trip to Bay of Islands. We went out on a dolphin cruise and to see the islands. We saw a pod of about 15 dolphins and the scenery was beautiful. We sailed through the famous Hole in the Rock!!

The next day we went to Cape Reinga, it didn't stop raining the whole day!! We got soaked!! We got to see the lighthouse which is at the most northerly point of New Zealand - again got soaked doing this. Our hostel was really nice here although we had to go out in the freezing cold to have a shower!! We went out in the evening for red wine and a few beers (and pool). We drove back to Auckland and saw some pink sheep!!

Back in Auckland we stayed at a hostel in the city - again this one was cold! We went to the cinema and watched Sex and the City 2 - it was so funny!

We left Auckland and went to Coromandel Town. We stopped at Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Unfortunately the tide wasn't quite right so we couldn't dig our own hot pool. We went to a quiz night and we didn't come last!!

The next day we did a bit of walking in the rain - 3 hours infact! The next day we did more walking, not in the rain though!

Today we got picked up from Coromandel Town and we stopped off at the massive L&P bottle and Hobbiton (Lord of the Rings town). We also went to Redwood - not Gardens but forest!! Took some photos of Kylie with the sign!! Got to Rotorua about 2pm and have been food shopping this afternoon. We also looked at the natural thermal hot pools in the park - they smell!! This looks like a nice town and we have been upgraded from a dorm to a twin room for the same price - it also has heating!!! First hostel in NZ with a heater - our socks are up drying!! Not up to much tonight, will just enjoy the heater in our room!!!
