Yesterday we went to Auckland Museum. This was really interesting and it had lots of inter-active bits that amused us - we took part in a volcano experience!! We had a coffee, then walked to the city passing the uni, Old Government House, Barracks and the Art Gallery - all of which weren't very interesting!! We found a nice bakery and treated ourselves to a bun! We did a bit of shopping too - we got some hats and scarfs. Came back to the hostel and cooked pasta for dinner. We had an early night as it was so cold!!

This morning we walked into town hoping to find a market but the park was a building site so we guessed the market isn't happening at the moment!! Instead we found a place giving away free coffee and muffins - every cloud has a silver lining!! We have come back to the hostel to do some laundry as we need to get our stuff packed tonight, we are going to Bay of Islands tomorrow for a couple of days. We will be back in Auckland on Monday afternoon.
