We were picked up from Geneva airport for the drive to Chamonix this morning at 9am. An early start as we were about an hour from the airport. The bus trip was nice seeing the change in scenery. Chamonix is really nice. A small town that would be very busy in winter with snow activities. Summer is popular for hiking, mountain biking and sightseeing. We caught a cable car up one of the mountains and then did a 2hr hike across to another cable car that took us back. We had dinner at one of the many restaurants. Although it was cool we sat outside and it was pleasant. After dinner we were given a shot glass of jägermeister. Dianne (jokingly) said it was to wash your our hands. So Gavin dipped his fingers in and said it was very effective! We were extremely amused!! I think the waiters saw what happened because they came back with a second shot. Our theory being they wanted to see a repeat performance! It was a very strong liqueur! I slept well.
