We had a couple of action packed days in Townsville with visitors, Dylan, Ruth and Bones. All arrived into Townsville airport from the southern states on Friday 6th July. Carnarvon Gorge did not disappoint. When we arrived we went to the Visitor Centre where most of the walks begin. After coming up with a plan for the next day, we went down the road towards the caravan park and did a short hike to Mickeys Creek. After a disjointed break in our trip, we flew back to the Gold Coast on the 19th May to collect our home on wheels. So cheap too. Parked for two weeks in a secure lock up near the airport for a total of $120. Unheard of in Sydney! Revisited brother Ian for a night then drove around 33km to Canungra to stay three nights at the showground. We just wanted a little R&R and replan our next moves. It was a great spot for that.
