We've been home for almost a month now and are just now starting to settle in. We left Renee and Gage on Saturday morning after a big breakfast at a restaurant on the square. The best sausage I've ever had. We drove as far as Indianapolis and stopped for the night, deciding it was too late to drop in at John's that evening. We made our way to his house very carefully, going through a part of the city we probably shouldn't have been in. We went to lunch with them at an all-you-can-eat Sushi place that was totally delicious and made me commit to finding one in our area. From there we took off, focused on the road ahead and the prizes awaiting us in SC. Yes, we were envisioning all the scenarios! Homecoming celebrations! With our shower, with our bed, with our daughter, and the most jubilant one of all, with our grand-dog Cooper! I can say without any doubt that they all met our high expectations! And then, just as exhaustion started tugging on us, whispering in our ear that a few days of couch time were in order, we looked at the calendar and realized that we were leaving for Antigua and Denise's wedding in two weeks! It was a lovely wedding in a beautiful setting but that is another blog for another day. So, did we go everywhere and see everything that we had hoped to? To that we can only say, "Not on this trip!" This trip was as it was intended to be, just us, off exploring, our chosen views.
