As planned we headed to the Lost City first up. It was an overcast day and a bit cool (26 deg) this made it comfortable walking in amongst the massive sandstone columns at the lost city. Today we headed for Butterfly Spring in Limmen National Park. First stop however was Borroloola to get a few fresh supplies. Coming into town we crossed over McArthur River - a massive river which heads straight to the gulf. It must get a massive flow in it during the wet season. Today we left KFC and headed for the NT border. On the way we stopped at Hells Gate Roadhouse. It is actually a really nice spot with a grassed camping ground. We refuelled and the kids got an ice block. We also got the run down on the road ahead and some possible roadside camps. We made camp today at Kingfisher Camp (or as the signs say- KFC). It was a very slow day on the road taking us nearly four hours to travel 150km, The biggest problem being the bull dust, oh and the flat tire. Most to the road was through the one property. Well it's the last full day at Lawn Hill. We have all had a great time hiking, canoeing, swimming and just relaxing for a few days in one spot.
