Another big driving day!! Caitlyn and I (Joel) got up early and went for a walk along the Barcoo. Went up to the Qantas crash site and checked out the memorial. It is made out of a petrified tree and the plaque on the front tells of the crash in 1927. Left Tambo at about 8am. We had a massive day driving today. 730 km now sees us in Tambo. It was a little chilly in Bourke last night and woke up to a very foggy morning. We are still trying to get North as far as possible as quickly as possible. The day was pretty uneventful- except for the fact that we crossed the border and had the mandatory boarder crossing photo. Made it to Bourke. The kids are terribly excited and trying to do 101 things at once. We went and had a look at the old port in town and the Darling River. Setting up camp for the first night went well- it is hard to imagine that it will be our home for the next 50 or so nights. KB

Woke up to a wet and windy day in Orange. Must be time to leave. :) One of those Sundays you could sleep in for a while. But everyone was up at 6:15. Packed the last few bits and a bit of breaky and hit the road. Looking forward to exploring with the family. JB
