I don't want to sound over enthusiastic. You kow how much I hate over enthusiasm. But I am having a f***ing amazing time. I am in Cambodia. I have been in Cambodia for about 5 days. It s***s all over Thailand.

I left Bangkok with the 3 girls that Imet on Ko Phangn Nan and got a taxi to Bangkok Airport. I cant remeber if it i was earl but we were all knackered. We may or may not have been drinking th night before. I couldn't actually say. My memories of thailand consist of too little sleep, too much booze and far too many hangovers with not much to show for them. Some of it was fun but the month that I spent there (all in the south, so I havent COMPLETELY written off the rest of the country) was all a bit rubbish for the most part. At least I can say I have been though and I saw what there was to see for the most part. Anyways, getting back to laving Bangkok, we got to the airport and had a bite to eat and then ended up being the last people on the flight cos we couldnt find the gate. I had been charged another 12 quid for my baggage cos I was a whole 5 kilos overweight. I wasnt best impressed and my feeling of disdain was compounded when the lady at boarding shouted at us to hurry up. She was the last rude thai person that I saw. Thank f*** for that.

The plane went into a heavy bout of turbulence. I kind of s*** myself and wondered what I'd write if it got to the point where I would have to write notes to my loved ones. I also wondered whether I would get a piece written about me in the Daily Mail and how angey I would be. If I survived.

We landed in Pnomh Penh ( I have renamed it Phenomonal Pen) and were greeted by a completely different world. People were nice! We didnt get constantly harrassed byt stupid f***ers offering f***ing tuk tuks and s*** suits. We checked into a 4 star hotel for a massive 6 pounds each and got some dinner. We only spent one night there as the girls had a return flight in a couple of days and so I convinced them to get up to Siem Reap to check out Angkor. The morning before our rather interesting bus journey to Siem Reap, we made the obligatory trip to the Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng prison that was run by the Khmr Rouge to torture and kill people. It made me feel awful but I'm so glad I went. Horrific. Check out the pictures if you havent already. Dont mean to sound all self righteous but the genocide in Cambodia was just as, if not more horrific than the holocaust. You should come visit.

I have been in Siem Reap for 4 nights now and its quite possibly the best place I have been in my entire 6 months away. I have bought a 7 day pass for the Angkor temples. Mind blowing.

Cambodia kind of baffles me. The people are still recovering from the Khmer Rouge and the way that they were shat all over but are incredibly, incredibly friendly. Such a massive contrast to f***ing thailand.

I forgot to tell you that whilst I was in Bangkok, I made a trip to Ayyuthaya which was the original capital. It was supopsed to be amazing. It was s***e. For the past 3 days, I have been exploring the temples round Angkor which have absolutely blown my mind. I knew that it would be good but I never expected this. Check out the pictures. No superlative can relly do it any justice. Cambodia in general is a millino times prettier than thailand, the people a million times more friendly. And the food rocks. I dont know whay people go on about Thailand so much. Its s*** in comparison to Cambodia.

Yesterday, I was mobbed by kids at Angkor temples. (These kids are tremendously poor and obviously need the money and are incredibly young. It makes me feel sad.). One girl who cant have been older than 8 but insisted that she was 12 managed to flog me a guide book. She had an amazing, unrelenting sales pitch. Some of her lines included: 'No Money, No Honey Lady!' and ' you pay 5 dollar for the book but if I tell you the capital of Wales and its population then you pay 7 dollar'...

Hilarious.
