Jonathan and I left Perth to travel to Alice Springs today. Got off the plane in Alice at 5pm and thought I was going to melt! and we thought Perth was hot.. Alice Springs is very remote.. We walked into the town and everything was deserted.. then again it was a Sunday and found out that the shops close at 3pm. Coles Supermarket was still open so we got all we needed there... Water and Sunscreen, as we are going on Mulga's 3 day trip to Ayers Rock tomorrow morn...

Christmas DAY! Shell came in and woke us this morning, it felt weird to hear "Merry Christmas" when you are gasping for air and looking for the remote for the air con! We opened a few pressies and started to prepare the food for the BBQ we were going to have at the beach! Christmas EVE! - To the beach.. It's about 35 degress with a light breeze and not a cloud! The boys bought a boogie board cos the waves are really good close to the shore. The sea is strangely deep then shallow then deep again, you just don't and the waves crashing against you nearly knocking you over, it was refreshing!! Not much opportunity for a little paddle! Lay out from about 11am to 4:30pm... factor 30! We all still managed to get absolutely scalded! e...

Early start for our trip up North to the Pinnacles and Sand Dunes. Got the bus at 7:20am, stopped at Caversham National Park to see the Kangaroos, Koala Bears and a Wombat. We fed the Kangaroos and the Koala Bears were still a little sleepy cos it was 8:30am.. they sleep for 16-20 hours a day! Wot a life... Back on the bus.... for 3 hours.. the weather was the best we've had since we landed and we were stuck on a bus! Boys were not impressed! Stopped for lunc...

The last few days have been a bit more relaxing than last week. Beach and chillin.. it has been a bit overcast the last few days cos of a cyclone north of Perth that is pushing the weather front down... still 35 degrees at the beach tho! :) Jonathan eventually arrived in Perth minus his luggage! oh and his passport... he got back to the apartment and realised that he left it in the airport! He still doesn't know where his luggage is, but they have his passport! ...
