Day 10,14 July 2012, On Safari - This is what we came to Africa for. Great White Hunters together, we bagged as many stunning wild animals as we could (with our camera of course!) Today we did both a morning game drive and a sunset/evening drive. The photo of the ecstatic leopard in a tree with a fresh dinner of Kudu was the absolute highlight of our day. Apparently you can go a week without a leopard spotting. Though we missed it, the other half of our group had a close encounter in the morning and we were lucky enough to see nature in action on the night drive. Watching the Kudu, Puku, yellow baboons and Zebra in the spot light of the game truck is like watching the fresh meat section at a very large supermarket - all looking somewhat nervous. The only sign of predators is eyes glinting in the bushes. You know what they say about tourists in game trucks after dark?.... Meals on Wheels for the big cats on the prowl.
