"Hey You Guys !" After Seattle and a quick stop off at Mount St Helens, the volcano in Washington State that erupted about 25 years ago, we headed down the Pacific Coast Highway through Oregon to reach California. On the way through Oregon we couldn't resist stopping off in Astoria to take a sneaky pic of the Goonies house, the actual house used in the film. The house is sectioned off with a private driveway and no number on the door. Think they are sick of kids from the 80's stopping by for a photo opportunity. If you look closely you can see one eyed Willy in the foliage! ( I bet loads of you looked as well!) Suckers !!!! Next stop was Redwood National Park, where we saw the tallest trees in the world. They were absolutely massive, check out the photo's. Next we drove down the Pacific Coast through Cannon Beach which was really beautiful but a bit out of our price range, and then onto Manzinita where the beaches, and the fish and chips, were great. The latter part of the highway wasn't so picturesque, mainly ports and industry, but it was a pretty challenging drive around the winding cliff roads, especially when your driver is afraid of heights. Next stop California.
