Hi everyone!
We survived the overnight train and arrived in Chiang Mai yesterday morning. The train wasn't as bad as mum thought but we were very unlucky and had to sit next to 2 obnoxious scallies from Liverpool. They were so rude and constantly shouting abuse at everyone. They passed out at 10pm but then woke up at 3am and drank beer until we arrived at 9am. We were not happy because we couldn't sleep at all. If it hadn't had been for that we would have had a great journey.
We're staying in a nice hotel in Chiang mai, our room even has a lounge so its very impressive. We chilled by the pool for a bit and then went for a walk around the sunday market which is huge and we couldn't resist buying even more souvenirs! Then we came back to the room and got changed before going out for dinner.
I have been waiting for mum to bring me over a new adapter because my hairdryer blew up the last one and then as soon as I plugged in my hairdryer it did it again so I was very angry and have thrown it away. Its our mission today to find an adapter and a new hairdryer!
This morning we have chilled by the pool again and now we're going for a walk around Chiang mai again and some lunch. We are being picked up at 4pm today and going off to do a cookery class where we learn 5 different dishes. I want to make spring rolls and pad thai so I can impress you all when I get back. We learn how to make a curry paste too so Pan will be impressed with our new skills!
Thats all for now, we are leaving for Pai tomorrow which is my favourite place (a tiny little town in the mountains 4 hours north of Chaing Mai). We are staying there for 2 nights and then we are heading to Ko Phi Phi so mum can chill out on a beach and top up her tan before going home!
I hope your all ok,
Love Nina
Hi all
Having fun times with the lone traveller, you will all be gald to know she hasn't changed a bit, just a bit browner and more freckly. She hasn't made me do anything life threatening YET but I've heard her mumbling about me riding an elephant!
We're off on our cookery course soon so I'll be able to teach Pan how to cook Thai for us all.
Have fun at work guys
