This morning we went for a drive through Byfield NP. It is typically known for its super soft sand and the one positive from the current bad weather is that the rain is compacting the sand so it was no trouble to drive through. We took the coast road from Emu Park up to Yeppoon stopping at the "Singing Ship" which is created through wind pipes. We set up camp at Red Rock which has good facilities and there was only one other person here. We had our most relaxing afternoon with nothing to do. We left Blackdown Tablelands NP this morning headed for Rockhampton to do some shopping and fix the air con. $500 later I was not real happy about the "slip of the knife" that caused it days earlier. We then headed to Adam's house out on the coast. He cooked us a roast dinner and we were able to do some washing and have a decent hot shower.

This morning we did 1.2km each way walk to Officer's Pocket. The walk was nice with a good lookout at the end. I have been surprised by the lack of wildlife and people around. We did the Nature Trail Walk which was nice enough but nothing great before packing up and heading to Blackdown Tableland NP.
