Hey there....we are in Patong in Phuket at the moment- an island on the west side of Thailand. Its very touristy here compared to the other islands we have stayed - still very nice though. Its busy but not too busy! This area was hit during the tsunami and its amazing how its been built up again so quickly. We were shown some photos by this Thai lady of when the tsunami hit - they were quite disturbing actually. Her brother had taken them. They showed places on the beach front, particularly the inside of her shop and how it was just smashed to pieces. We couldn't believe the damage it had caused. It was Katie's birthday yesterday so we celebrated in true pie style (Lolly pasty and Vinny Roll we missed ya!). We spent the day on the beach. In the morning we got a thai massage which became quite intimate, squeezing Katie's ass and Ninny's boobs yelling 'sexy lady' ! The thai ladies seemed to find this hilarious - how rude! Not really sure if Nin and Kt knew how to react! In the afternoon we went on jetski's! We each had our own jetski and enjoyed many a race against eachother! We also did some valuable baking...we are cooking nicely! (well Katie is, me and nin seem to be the attraction of many a Thai man- and woman! because of our paler than pale skin!). At night we went out..we managed to find yet another irish pub (Molly Maloines Vinny!), and also a bar named 'The Port!'... We finished the night in a club called Banana's! Yeye...Anna Banana jojanna flydanna hodanna...BANANNA!!!! Yes...we had a good night and Katie enjoyed her birthday! Tommorow we are setting off South......
