Wow - it has been a while since ive updated sorry bout that one - ive been very busy actually thats a lie as all i did in nha trang was lay on the beach but still that is time consuming. So Nha trang was awesome we did so much stuff. But the bus there was a nightmare - i hardly got any sleep that when we got there both me and kate were pretty moody so we settled for the 1st hotel we found (changed it after the 1st night to one next door as loads nicer and cheaper too!!) so the 1st day we went to the beach in the afternoon and were joined later by Vic and Ruth (the two girls we met on the very borin DMZ tour) who we spent our whoel time with in Nha Trang. So Nha trang was pretty much spent in bars - one was called Kim's crazy bar and its a bit mad in there but they do loads of stuff to support the kids in the area as there are loads of problems with paedophilia so i bought a t-shirt where the money goes towards their help and support so i feel it was justified that i drank in there too!! I also went in my first cyclo - i was midly drunk but it was great fun - we only went bout 2 seconds down the road to the sailing club (where i spent all my evenings) but still fun for a drunk person! The next night we went out with some of Vic's diving friends she had met that day (as she fancied one of them!) he happened to be brazilian but spoke spanish so i had a great time catching up on my spanish - i havent lost it completely .....yet! We went to a beer hoi place where they serve beer to you on the street on lil plastic chairs and tables and the beer is dirt cheap - i had bout 2-3pints (one of which contained hazlenut vodka - thanks for that one Vic!) and paid 10,000 dong which is bout 45p! Again we ended up in the sailin club - where we met up with some others from hoi an and where both ruth and vic "disappeared" for the evening - lucky gits! On the saturday we went on a boat trip - we thought it would be really good - but it turned out to be quite s*** but that could be because the guide was a complete knobhead or that we were all quite hungover. He did keep on tryin to flirt with us but it wasnt workin at all! However, we did get to swim in the sea, eat loads of food and take the piss out of the guide when he tried to do karoake. We also sat in rings in the sea while drinkin some free red wine s*** - so that was enjoyable. Again saturday night was another night out and it certaintly was for me and kate who got absolutely wasted - by 1am we had run out of money but our downfall was realizing that they took Visa and we both had our cards on us - so according to our till receipts we were still ordering at 3 (it was just like being back in valencia!) So we boogied our arses off till about 4 then i think we just died! The rest of the time in Nha trang was pretty much spent the same way - there are like no cultural things to do there and have done loads of that already so needed a lil break. Nha trang was quite a cool place - the beach was clean and the hotels really near by - the bars of course were great and the restaurants again were pretty good (apart from the seafood one where the waitress was an incompetent hovering fool)! The next night it was ruth who wanted to get drunk so her and stephanie (a swiss girl we met in hanoi) managed to do that quite well - ruth is still recovering now (1 week later!!) After nha trang i was headed towards Mui Ne and kate to saigon so went our seperate ways but meetin up again in Saigon so thats cool. well, thats all from Nha Trang (if you ever go to vietnam - go here!) xx
