Got woken up by a major storm, with torrential rain and lightning at 6:30. But I decided it was far too early for me to be up so went back to sleep, got up at 7:30, storm all gone, and the rain had actually done a good job of clearing away some of the smog :-) Got a lift over to Tekek and started the AOW, the others of course hasn't done the theory, so we had to wait while they did that, but not too long and we headed out for the peak performance buoyancy dive. ...

Woke up at 7:00 and faffed about helping Raman (taxi boat guy out of panuba). Harry took over romina's open water student for the morning (Romina was doing a dsd with some Germans), offered me to come on the confined, but not really worth diving to 6 meters then just watching them do skills! I did join for the dive they did though, back to renggis again, no turtle this time :-( but did see another giant moray, could see its whole body as well which was very cool...

Woke up at 7:30, despite not wanting to! Went down to the dive centre an surprised to find myself to be the first up! Door was locked and jut on the way back to get the keys off Harry and romina's door when Romina rocks up, saving me the walk back up to the rooms. Harry's day off today, so no diving, we spent the morning making a table for the dive centre, bit of a bodge job, but very serviceable. Up at 7:30 again, with 2 dives in front of me :-) Got up and had breakfast, plastered my foot etc... And picked up by the boat at 9:20, straight out to pirate dive site, first dive off a boat, quite intimidating to go straight down to 18m without being able to see the bottom as visibility wasn't very good. No problems though, and nice dive, saw lots of stingrays, and swam through an underwater man-made tunnel thing, which was interesting. Went back to Tekek tdc...

Got up at 7:30 again, it's nice because it gives me an hour and a half to wake up and have breakfast before we start diving. High tide was at 10:30, so just finished off the theory and tests, managed 100% in the lot which was quite nice! (And Harry now owes me a banoffie pie). So all theory for the open water done now, just diving to go :-). Finished off the shallow skills in 3-6m of water, stuff like: swimming without mask on, practicing emergency ascents, out ...
