So woke up at 10 with the intention of getting about the day nice and early, but... Took my pills with some cashew nuts for breakfast, then didn't leave until 1, successfully had a shower without getting my foot wet this time though :-) (the answer was a plastic bag and lots of tape!).
Sophie had heard that one of the shopping malls had a roller coaster in it, turned out to be the one we'd been in yesterday (it was so massive we hadn't even seen it last time!), found it, not just a roller coaster (cover photo), but an entire theme park built within the mall!!
Once we'd got bored of that mall we headed out to the Central Market which was described as one of the 'must do' things in Kuala Lumpur. It was quite cool (and had been there since 1888 or something), very arty and lots of antiques, but was much smaller than we had expected, so we were done with it very quickly.
Not too sure what to do next we looked at the map, and decided on the bird sanctuary. It was actually pretty cool, loads of birds all around, and covering a massive area, kept me entertained for 2 hours easily (there will be a photo album full of birds uploaded at some point!).
Got a taxi to Chinatown after, turned out to be a massive shopping street, so I settled in for the long haul (lots of bag shops). Did see one or two things I was interested in, but I've only got 32 ringgit (~£6) for the rest of the day, including dinner, so no buying for me! Also really don't need to add more stuff to my pack, but this is definitely one of the best shopping/market streets I've seen so far, and KL is definitely the most shopping crazy place so far!
Got a bit of food and headed back to the hostel to book our travel to tioman, interestingly the hostel guy didn't just do it all for us (as has happened on every other occasion), he was very helpful, but basically just let us use his computer to book and print tickets.
Very excited to see Harry and got my diving course booked in with him from the 14th :-D hopefully the foot won't cause too many problems
