Got up early today to see the memorial of Gallipoli (world war 1) as we sailed through the Dardanelles we nearly missed it as we had fallen back to sleep went back to sleep. Didn't get very good pictures of it though, will try again on way home even though it will be during the night. It was still touching to see it.
After breaky I did a pilates class then went to the gym, feel better already for it. Met with We are off to the Turkish Bazarin the afternoon, it is a mad market lol.
Had a beautiful Balinese hour long massage then enjoyed lunch and now I'm sunbakeing on the back deck. Man this cruising life is hard to take lol!!!
Istanbul has 2 continents, Europe ( 3 percent)and Asia (97 percent ), it is the city of mosques but has no state religion.Liar is turkys money,
1 euro equals 2.3 lira. Now this is the best fact ever, Galata hear in Turkey is where ice cream came from. Istanbul has1.2 million people catch the fereys each day from Europe to Asia. We went past a building where florince nightingale worked ( first women nurse).
Now the Bazar was awesome not as scary as it sounded, lots of colour and life, lots of gold, jewelry, scarves, rugs and leather jackets being sold. Boof bought a huge copper plate with the blue mosque on it, the shop keeper started at 120 euro but Boof ended up getting it for 40 euro. Istanbul has hot police lol, they look good on there bikes in there uniform, I'm sure there not as hot as matty's gunna be though hehe.
After dinner tonight Boof, Tenis and I went for a walk along the streets of Istanbul, it was raining a bit but not cold. We walked along a heap of
Hubel bubble, shish bars. We stoped and bought one between us all and a apple tea. You can get all different flavors, we got grape, you couldn't taste anything when you inhaled, it was only when you exhaled, but it was quiet milled. It was such a fun experience, an experience of a life time lol!!!!
