Well it's a beautiful day, the sun is shining let's hope it lasts! Today we are driving along Dingle peninsula. It has magnificent views of the Atlantic ocean and the Blasket islands. We took lots of pictures, it makes such a difference with the sun shining. The road is windy and that skinny that to pass another car one has to stop lol! Good fun. At Dingle bay we enjoyed some home made squid and fish, they were so yum.
We drove through Limerick and took photos of king Johns castle from 1210 and the treaty stone of 1691, not sure what the stone was all about, was half a sleep when Gordon was explaining it. The castle over looks the third largest river in the British isles, the river Shannon. We only stopped to take photos here like most of the other places, pretty disappointing as it looked like a lovely town and would have been nice to have gone up the castle. Tour is pretty boring, lot of time driving past things that we would love to stop and have a look at, but we are trying to make the most of it by exploring at every chance we have. On our drive around we saw the remainders of these beehive stone huts that are over 200 BC years old, they are still pretty well preserved. We also went past the singer Enya her house. It was on the side of a hill, looked pretty nice but not over extravagant, she has a studio in there also.
Pulled up in Ennis walked down the street, had a lovely Irish stew for dinner. Oh yeah forgot to tell you about our yum irish coffee we had yesterday, I think it is made with milk and cream with lots of wisky and sugar, it was to die for. Boof didn't think to much of it so i had to drink his too "b*****" lol!!
