Well an early morning after no sleep doesn't go down to well. Room was so stuffy and hot, bed slanted so felt like we were going to roll out of bed all night, phone calls and a noisy hotel lol!!
Anyway we are on our 2 hour drive to the ferry to get to Paris. We are getting excited, putting our tiredness to the back of our heads and getting on with it. Our tour leader is Owen he seems nice, he is originally from Brisbane and our driver is Brian. Well she will be a full bus and a lot younger crowd to what we have had on the last tour. Not sure my pants are going to cope with this tour already have to lay down to get them done up lol!!
It has been a long day on the bus but none the less a good one, it went way quicker than on the other tour with tunes cranking, lots of chatter and excitement and meeting new people. We had to swap seats after 3 mins and talk to just about every one. It was a bit hard at first but every one was nice.
We arrived in the city of "lights and love", the beautiful Paris! We did an orientation drive around the city past the famous Eiffel tower, moulone rouge, the louve, the famous shopping street champs elysee and heaps more. The city is amazing, the lights are dazzling and the buildings are mouth dropping.
We stopped at the only hill in Paris at Sacre Cceur. It is a giant cathedral and built because of a couple of rich business men preyed to god to help save all they monuments and artifacts from siege and they promised if this happened they would build the biggest most beautiful church in his honor. A couple of years later they began building. Still didn't beat saint sophia in Turkey but it was still amazing. We shared a chicken and cheese crepe for dinner it was delicious.
