When we got up this morning, or maybe afternoon, we remembered we had to walk to the bike. Taxis in Phuket are something else that is really pricey and we thought if we took it slowly we would be fine. We grabbed a bottle of water and a can of coke from the 7/11 and made our way along the beach front. Phuket certainly is touristy and there were people all over the place touting and touristing. It was a very long walk! We popped into various shops along the way to scope out if the whole place was as expensive as the shops we tried yesterday, they were. We decided to have an afternoon nap and relax before going out a second time. We did plan to meet Laura at her gym but it was a long way and we were far too tired to work out and watch her boxing, also I’m not really into fighting.
When we thought about where to go there was only one place in my mind, Rock City. We did pop into a few other places half way through the night but Rock City was by far the best. Towards the evening we made friends with the people next to us, a giant Canadian and his friend. When I say giant I mean it, the guy worked for Cirque Du Soleil and was at least 7 feet tall. When he danced he picked up one of the heavy metal bar stools and waved it around like it weighed nothing. After a while we met a Thai girl and he was able to pick her up in one hand and throw her around too.
