When we are not busy with work we have to find ways to entertain ourselves. I study and practice Spanish on the porch which overlooks the vineyard, or take rides on the tractor. We added playing with numchucks to our activities as Jaille brings them to work. Jaille is Brazilian so he speaks Portuguese, of which I speak none, but somehow Katie and I communicate with him pretty well. He is ridiculously strong and always helps Katie and I when we need it. He lives in Brazil where he has 2 wives and a girlfriend, and maybe because of this, is always happy and laughing. The women are not in the dark about this situation but its a big joke with us at the Bodega. He rides his bike 2 hours each way in the dark to get to work everyday. Today he showed us a gash about 7 inches long on his calf, this he received by aggravating a reptile that looks like an alligator called a Lagarto, which just means lizard but we don't have four foot lizards back home. I've seen a few but usually running really fast in whatever direction we are not. He also competes in triathlons when not angering reptiles.
