Hello!

Last Saturday we both had an Ayuvedic massage, it is a famous keralan massage. However our experience of a Ayuvedic masage was awfull and not relaxing!!! They slap a load of oil on and were rubbing out backs and massaging bone, they even managed to tickle Nicole who is not ticklish like Suhanya. But this is meant to be good for circulation, we were not convinced!

On the Sunday we departed Kochi and went to Alleppey for our backwater trip. As you can see from the photos it was amazing! We met Gareth and Bei too which was nice. The food was amazing and we had mahooosive prawns which were the size of lobsters!mmmmmmmm, best prawns ever! We had 3 staff on the boat and felt like royalty. We went for a canoe ride round the villages where everyone does everything from the water. There were many kids from the village, some were asking for chocolate, which we didnt have so Suhanya decided to throw the bananas we had to them.

In the evening we laid out under the stars, the sky was soo clear we were able to see the Milkyway!

Today we headed back to Kochi with Gareth and Bei and went to see a Hindi film called "Kidnap" . The Indian people get very excited in the cinema and were cheering and clapping when the actors came on screen. We loved the experience!

Tomorrow we are off to Chennai for shopping and to visit Suhanya's aunt.

We forgot to write about our night of madness! Last Monday we decided to splash out (5 pounds for both) and go out for dessert, snacks and gin and tonics for malaria prevention at a posh hotel. When we were sitting down outside this locus like insect fell into Nicole's hair and then scurried off, Nicole was very disturbed and paranoid after! On the way back we had a crazy rickshaw which sounded like a vibrating washing machine! So Nicole and Suhanya decided to start singing and the rickshaw driver found it hilarious and said we were a great couple and singers. We were in fits of laughter and at the end of the journey took a photo of us with him. Then we were on the way out of our guesthouse and it was pitch black. Suhanya stepped then fell into a 2ft deep open sewage drain! There is a photo of the aftermath too!
