As I lie in bed, waiting for my alarm to go off, it really hasn't sunk in yet that I will be travelling for 85 days. All I am thinking about is the inventory of everything I need to take with me, making sure I don't forget anything.
I get up. I cannot wait for my alarm anymore. It is 5h45. As I get ready, still hung over from the going away party that Samad so kindly organized the night before I worry about not being late.
I thank Samad and Jamea for their excellent hospitality. Living with them for a few days gave me a preview of what South America is going to be like...ghetto...just kidding!
I get to the Toronto Bus Terminal at 7h05 (lots of time since my bus leaves for Buffalo at 7h30). I decide to put my earphones on and play the wonderful music that Khairunnisa gave me. And then, with MGMT-Time to Pretend playing through my cell phone, it hits me, I am about to embark in one of the most memorable journeys of my life. Suddenly, a surge of emotions overwhelm me. I try to hide the tears that build up in my eyes since I was waiting in line with other people around. This journey could potentially change my outlook on life, my life! Maybe I was over-dramatizing things, like Bahar enjoys mentioning to me, but only time will tell how important this journey will be to me.
