We had a pretty good day, after opening our hundreds of presents (as if!) and eating a huge free breakfast at our hotel we had a few hours on the beach (the weather was really good the whole time we were in Samui luckily) and then went and had christmas dinner at a bar down the road. Just a quick update, Michael and Graham decided that we would do the rafting tour and paid the deposit without my knowledge! The first day was very tame, nice relaxing journey down the river with lovely scenery all around. Slept in even more basic accommodation than the trekking tour if that's possible as the hut we slept in didn't even have four walls! Hi, we've done so much since the last entry it's hard to know where to start....Basically after Bangkok we travelled up to Kanchanaburi which was a little town about 2 hours away from Bangkok which is next to the River Kwai. We stayed in a nice little guest house here where Graham had a room which was floating on the river (cheapest option for a tight ass like him!). Hi, we've now arrived in Bangkok after a nightmare 15 hour journey from Siem Reap in Cambodia yesterday. The first half of the journey was spent driving in and out of potholes at 50 miles per hour in a boiling hot minibus while we entertained ourselves by killing mosquitos.
