Had a nice day at Lake Atitlan on Sunday. Arrived at Panajachel only to find the weather overcast and low misty cloud obscurring what are meant to be amazing views of 3 volcanoes around the lake. So that was a shame but still had a good day. I took a boat to a small village called San Marcos and had some lunch overlooking the lake which was nice. Well, had a great week one. Spanish school has been great fun and I´ve learnt loads. Being able to speak french is definitely helping me learn Spanish. School is hard work though with an intense 4 hours a day plus homework, so it's tiring but worthwhile. The school has organised afternoon activities after school; so I´ve visited the cross on the hill that overlooks the town, a museum or 2, a Jade factory and a nearby volcano called Pacaya which is spewing red ...
