Hey people.

So I've spent the last 4 nights in Bangkok. Leaving in a few hours to catch the sleeper train to Georgetown in Malaysia...

Not actually done that much in Bangkok - Been a bit lazy. Got here and met Nancy (Mexican girl I met in Vientiene) and we checked into a room. I proceeded to spend the next 2 days mainly asleep because I got a bit sick. I managed to get out of bed to go and buy a train ticket and go to Lumphini Park though which was nice.

The third day I made a bit more of an effort, going to Siam Square to some of the big shopping malls, went to the cinema (which was so well air-conned I got cold) and this 'Earth from Above' photo ehibit which had amazing pictures from all around the world, and annotations about pollution, education and poverty.

Headed for a look around Chinatown afterwards which was crazy as everything had 3 signs, one in Thai, one in English and one in Chinese.

Yestarday I got a tuk-tuk to two places in the city for free because I went to a couple of Jewelry shops. The tuk-tuk drivers get free gasoline if they take you to certain shops. So I go into this shop and look at necklaces and pendants for 5-10 minutes, saying I was interested in getting a present for my mum (sorry Mum - No chance :p)

Went to see some Buddha that was like 45m high. Some guy sold birds in a box there. You paid 100B and you got this tiny box with 4 small birds in to set free. I didn't do it, the merciless scamming b******s, but I saw an English couple who were nicer people than me who felt sorry for the birds...

Went up Golden Mountain next which is a temple ontop of a hill so had great views of Bangkok. When I came down, my tuk-tuk driver had realised that he was getting no more free gasoline from me so he f***ed off. I didn't care because it was only a ten minute walk from home.

Last night was funny. Apparently some dickhead guy hit this ladyboy in the face (not so funny). The bit everyone saw was her waiting for him to come out of this hotel, and when he did, she got a broom and was chasing him. She would have bloody killed hm had she got her hands on him. He looked well scared haha.

Tried some fruit (shock!) called Durian. Tasted of petrol - Honeslty, we all spat it out and then I was gargling whiskey to get rid of the taste. Worst taste ever.

Thats about it. Train to Malaysia tonight, then Singapore after that.
