Just got in from the biggest night out ever. It's 6am.
Anyway I'll start with Thursday. Had a quiet day as I got up late, after being sat on the front doorstep with some people drinking until 3:30am. Went for a stroll around Electric City around 11am with a Canadian Guy called Dan. It is just wall-to-wall skyscrapers selling camera's, laptops, iPods, Tv's etc...amazing place. Played a Japanese gambling which I can't remember the name of, but I'll find out.
Chilled out Thursday night and got an early night as I was planning on going to the Fish Market the morning after.
Friday started badly...I couldn't sleep and someone opened the window which knocked a couple of things I had on the windowsill onto my head, namely my camera and contact lense fluid. It hurt Then my alarm goes off at 4:15am and I can't f***ing find it because it's been knocked off the shelf too - So I go turn my light on to find it before it completely wakes the dorm up, and someone has unplugged the lamp to charge their phone.
Anyway so we get to Tsjuki fish market early - it was already manic. It's the largest fish market in the world...something like $18 Million USD worth of fish...and basically its just a lot of fish...not sure what else I expected, but have some pretty cool pics I'll put up when I get round to it.
Head into Ginza with Pam (I didn't want Sushi for breakfast, remember I got sick in Kenya?) and the whole city centre is like, closed until 11am so I head home. Chilled out for a bit and got some sleep, then head back to Ginza to the Sony Building and play around with some of the technology - cool snaps of that too.
Then got more sleep in prepartation for the big night out in Roppongi. Got there around 9pm, and it is just neon lights and people everywhere its awesome. We had a couple of drinks in one small bar, then we went to Wall Steet Bar where and and a Swedish girl called Sofia get talking to these 2 cute Japanese girls. The one I liked had gone backpacking a bit and spoke excellent English - Her name was Haruka.
So I'm dancing with her, chatting etc... and about an hour later I look for everyone and they have gone, but then James comes back and tells me they are opposite on the 7th floor doing Kareoke. So we go up with them and it was just awful but so much fun. Me and Haruka leave about 3am and bump into these 2 Japanese guys who neither of us know. But we ended up having Sushi in this nice place (the whole of Roppongi is still alive at like 3am - shops and clubs and resturants, all 24 hours). I had fried Tuna and it was lovely, but not great on a beer filled stomach. The people were friendly but laughed at my attempt to use chopsticks (I'm getting better)
Got the train home at about 5:30am (and Roppongi was STILL busy - people just going into clubs etc...) On the way to the station there were lots of women on the street going "You want massage?"
Got a few pics which are really good. Need to sleep now before I check out. Gonna head to Shibuya for a quick look around today, then to Roppongi again to get some snaps from the tower, then a night bus, 11pm-7am to Kyoto. Goodbye Tokyo.
Hope your all well. Keep messages coming, I like reading them.
