Hey.
I arrived in Nanning this morning on the sleeper bus. It was OK. It had 6 beds on each row where it would normally be seats (3 bunk beds). I could fit fine, it had air-con. Good nights sleep.
Got to the "Hotel" (fancy - no hostels around here) and it wasn't a bad price, same as I paid in Macau. Nicest place I've stayed so far, probabally because it's a single.
Anyway my last few hours in Guangzhou...Me, Rasmus and Amelie went to the Island for a Starbucks after she finished her shift because she wanted to say goodbye. Anyway we are chatting about all sorts (I got really serious when talking about blood and organ donation...haha)
Anyway Rasmus leans on the table whilst Amelie was on the fone, and his eyes are rolling in the back of his head. Then he knocked his orange juice over.
I was like "Dude, what the f*** are you doing?"
Then he collapsed on the ground and I realised that maybe it wasn't his fault.
He sort of shook for a couple of seconds then went limp - I go over to him and I try and gentley shake him awake but to no avail. I told Amelie to phone an ambulance but then I hear a noise coming from his mouth and thought he was about to be sick so I turned his head so he didn't choke. But he wasn't sick, he just woke up. He opened his eyes and then actually looked around and sprung up like "Why am I on the floor?" - The staff came out then and we got him some water and he seemed OK after that.
The next twenty minutes of convo was about what could have been wrong (what you eaten, low blood pressure, the heat etc...) but it seemed fine so he's going to the hospital today.
Uploading the Macau and Guangzhou pictures now. NOTHING to do in Nanning so I've been planning the rest of trip sortof. I might actually get on a plane and go to the Philipines, then fly into Macau again, to Guangzhou and upto Beijing for the trip home. Flights are SO cheap and this way I would see another country instead of backtracking through SE Asia. Plus I want to go back to Macau and Guanzhou to catch up with people I met the first time.
Home everyones cool. I'm going to Vietnam tommorow. The hostel I am staying at is like one of the best around - top reviews, 4 quid a night, and its run by 2 aussies and has a lot of parties...should be fun.
