We firstly visited a place called Sossusvlei which is in the Namib desert!! Its a combination of a lot of sand and lods of dried out river beds!! It really is an awsome place!! The desert was so hot around 40 degrees and our guide told us it can get up to 60 degrees in January! It was a 3 day tour so we ended up camping in the bush which was awsome to get up super early to check out the sunrise from the top of a dune called 'dune 45' which is 45km away from the nearest town and the 45th dune into the desert! we had so much fun here and were in the desert in a boiling oven for 3 days!! On the way to the desert we saw a pretty horrific accident where a truck with a trailer had tipped over and 6 people had been thrown from standing in the back and we were pretty much first on scene and there was a guy with half a face missing, about 5 people just lying there and not moving and the driver soaked in blood walking round freaking out, so we helped lift the car back over and left when the ambulance got there!! NOt nice at all!! It was a welcome to Africa moment!!
