We had only the two stops in Northern Argentina after we elimanated Cordoba and Mendoza from our travels too free up some time for a later adventure! First stop was Tucuman, a city of 500,000, we were not blown away by Tucuman but still had alot of history involved. Tucuman was the sight of the signing of independence from Spain (9 of july 1816) and the crucial battle of independence (25th of may 1812) Only remember those dates because they are street names in each town/city throughout the country! Apart from that we didnt really find much else to do. In Salta our second stop it was a different story, very lovely churches and plazas, also had a fantastic gondola which gave you a great lookout over the city. Its main draw card might be a museum in which contains three mummies! 3 kids sacrficed to the gods by the incas which all three were found on the surrounding mountains. Only one was on display, the boy named "el nino", spanish for the boy, same as torres! Very well preserved all skin was intact and was very creepy! That was it for Argentina off too bolivia now.
