We travel to Townville and stay at a really nice Base hostel where they have a wide screen tv and bean bags. We get the best Fish and chips and plan a trip to magnetic Island. Next day we have a look around the town before the ferry and the search has ended!!!! In a camera shop Nick finds the much sort after underwater camera case that we have searched 3 countries for. By the time he had bought it we have missed the bus so have to catch a taxi to the port. I am glade to report that this ride was much smother than the Whitsundays. We meet up with some guys from our sailing trip that are staying at the same hostel. We stay at another base hostel on the island and it is really nice -with hammocks on the beach and stuff. We spend the day chilling out and playing in the pool with the new underwater cover. We also discover that we are sharing a room with a guy from Cheltenham and one from Cinderford- its a small world. We spend the night drinking with the canadians from our trip that get absolutely hammered as they have been drinking wine all day and then moved on to cocktails as they are 2 4 1 (result for me as i am getting sick of jugs of beer much to Nicks disappointment) The next day is great as there are proper blue sky again. We hire a car which is cross between the cow and the cinquecento as it is like a go cart and has cow print everywhere - it is great. We see a koala in a tree and some rock wallabies and one has a joey!! it is so cute. We explore the island and go on a 'panoramic view' walk - I think after this may be the hottest i have ever been in my life but it was worth it. As we are on the greyhound heading to Mission Beach it starts raining and doent really stop for 2 days so we didnt end up seeing much of Mission but we did have a night swim in the rain which was surprisingly cold and we watched Braveheart. We are on our way to our last stop in oz we just hope it stops raining!!! Hope you are all well Lots of love Nicky and Nick xx
